The Great Glen way is a wonderful long distance route to walk, by boat, kayak or by bike. There are 79 miles of path, track, canal and loch to discover. Or like us, you can use parts of the path for a lovely day out on the bikes with beautiful picnic spots!
The Great Glen Way starts in Fort William, just along the waterfront from Blythedale House on the shore of Loch Linnhe. The route follows the Great Glen all the way to Inverness. The Great Glen is the major natural faultline which divides Scotland from coast to coast. The Great Glen Way runs along the complete lengths of Loch Lochy, Loch Oich and in the forests above Loch Ness, as well as along the Caledonian Canal path.
